I am posting, not because I have something grand to share with you, but more because I am tired of looking at Lindsay Lohan (see post below)
We all survived our week back to work/school. Spring Break is almost cruel because it's this sneak peak at coming attractions (summer) but it's actually still far away. Summer to me, a grown up, still seems far away, I can only imagine the eternity it feels like for my kids. You know how time practically stood still when you were young and Christmas, birthdays and Summer would NEVER arrive! Oh the agony!
I have worked out 4 times this week!! I am quite pleased with myself. I am attempting to do some new stuff in hopes of shocking my body into getting some results. I am doing workouts with crossfit.com. Let me tell ya, if I keep this up, I will be able to kick yo bootie in no time! This stuff is painful. I was so sore Wednesday night that when I would role over in my sleep it woke me up!
Tomorrow is OPENING DAY!! No I don't mean the Rangers, I mean the best baseball team around, The Oakland A's in the Wylie Little League! Yes, it's Joshua's first game tomorrow. I love to watch my boy play ball! Jessica has a soccer game at 11:00 tomorrow too, so it's a fun sports day for the Havards. I know I have posted on this before but I LOVE spending my Saturdays watching those two show off the athletic gene they got from Havard side of the family!
It doesn't hurt that two of my closest friends have kids on the same teams, so I know I get a good hour of chat time! They are such good friends they don't even mind it when, in the middle of conversation, I start screaming (in a positive tone) GO JESSICA! GO!!!!!!GO!!! or I totally stop talking and say, "Joshua's at bat I gotta focus!"
If anyone out there is interested in taking the E100challenge.com with me let me know. (go to resources, free downloads and then planner)I have procrastinated starting this mainly because sometimes I struggle with the idea: Better/easier to NOT try and therefore NOT fail, than try and fail. So wrong, I know, so wrong.
I have typed your ear off enough for one night...
One more thing. Do you like my new template? I changed my title to "All Four Seasons" and listed the main reasons why:
1. Isn't that what blogging is, just talking about what season of life your in at that moment
2. Ever heard the song, "All 4 Seasons" by Sting. It's funny and when I heard it the first time all I could think was, "that's me!!" My husband and family can testify!
3. and, last but not least, I would be happy to stay at any Four Seasons hotel anywhere!!!

Clarification please!!
A funny thing happen to me the other day. Our refrigerator stopped working the Sunday I took Jessica to the Hannah Montana concert so a few days later we had a guy from Sears come and look at it and repair it for us. While I was paying the bill he looks at me and says, "You look like that actress..."
All I could think is please don't let it be some old lady, please please please.
He continues, "You know the actress in the movie about the car that's alive." At this point I say, "You mean Herbie the Lovebug?" in a VERY confused tone.
He says, "Yeah that girl in that movie."
I am still quite confused and say, "Well surely you don't mean Lindsay Lohan, was there some mom in that movie or something?"
"No, you do look like Lindsay Lohan, hasn't anyone told you that before?"
I can hardly contain my laughter at this point as I sign my credit card bill. The only thing I could think in my mind was "can you please clarify!!" do you mean this Lindsay Lohan:
Or this Lindsay Lohan:
I certainly wish it the 2nd photo, but due to the fact that I had spent the afternoon cleaning my house I fear it was the first!!! Ha! I wanted to say "sure thing buddy, except for the hair color, eye color and major age difference, she's my twin!"
I encouraged him to lay off the refrigerant a little bit and sent him on his merry way!

Home again
We are back safe and sound and all in one piece from our ski trip. We had a wonderful time and we all felt great (no flu, see post below) The kids did wonderful. By day 2 Jessica unleashed her inner snow bunny and could not be stopped. She has one speed and one direction: fast and straight down hill! Joshua was off the trail looking for any bump or jump to "catch some air." Chris was my mountain man, he looks handsome on skis and picked it right back up. Me, well I did fine, only a handful of falls, I had to go fast just to keep up with my kids!!!
Quick public props for my hubby. I think there is a business called "Worry Free Vacations" Well that is a service I will NEVER need because when it comes to planning a trip Chris can "bring it"
I didn't even have to think about how to get where we where going or how everything worked. I didn't even have to carry my own boarding pass. (I secretly think that he fears I would lose it and I have to admit, that's quite possible) I am SOOOOOO spoiled (once again) by him!
Enjoy the pics!!

Flu + Spring Break don't mix
I stopped into Jessica's classroom on Thursday to ask her a quick question. Well when she looked at me, there it was, all you momma's out there know it when you see it. The glassy eyes and pale skin, I asked her if she was ok and she said she had a headache. By the time she got home she was running a fever. We kept her home on Friday and took her to the doctor. She tested positive for the flu!!! Not good when you are about to leave for a much anticipated ski trip. Poor little thing was miserable last night, but we got her on Tamiflu (along with the rest of us) and she is like a new kid this morning. She is feeling much better thanks to the miracles of modern medicine and some serious prayers from her big brother who is REALLY excited about snowboarding!!
Happy Spring Break everyone!!!

Hannah Montana
That's right folks, Jessica and I got to see Hannah Montana! It was so much! It was a girl's day from start to finish. Jessica and I hopped on a plane to Houston Sunday morning and went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where the pop diva was playing. After the concert we got back on the plane and headed home. It was so fun to spend the day with my girl and watch her face when she spotted Hannah Montana coming out on the stage. She sat there with the quiet look of amazement on her face and then let out a really good girly scream!

Ok, Bye bye!!
I may be in the minority here but the snow has got to go (complete with finger snap and head shaking) Yes, b'bye!!! You see we got things to do and the snow is holding me down...
Here is my non-snow to do list:
1. run, I haven't run since my last post, I am getting weaker and flabbier with each passing day.
2. baseball practice, how will Joshua's team be ready for opening day March 29th if they can't practice?
3. Soccer games, ok I am not THAT sad that the 8:30 AM game that was supposed to be tomorrow has been cancelled, but still now my calendar is all messed up since we had to reschedule!! What to do!
4. Outdoor recess. Ok I may quit if I have to go another week of controlling 22 boys and girls after 5 days straight of no recess. Our only nice day to play was Wednesday when they were trapped in silence to their desks completing their TAKS test.
5. I need a wardrobe change, I am sick of the winter clothes. I tried to rebel and wore Capri's on Thursday, that backfired since I had to do car duty in the freezing rain!
6. So for those that don't know it, I am a warm weather summer girl and I think my stores of vitamin d are starting to dwindle. I need the sun and warmth to replenish!!
7. I live in Texas for a reason people and snow is NOT it...
